Hello lovely people,
Holi – The festival of colors is here. It is the one time of the year where you can let loose, be crazy, funny, and weird and have full fun. The dash of colors bring new enthusiasm and energy to life. It is a festival, celebrated in India and all over the world which brings colors, happiness and joy to one’s life.
Being a kid I used to love Holi festival and was always enthusiastic about celebrating it. Filling the water balloons a night before and bursting them on friends and people on streets used to be my favorite part. Growing up I started loving this festival more and more. So my special day is here and for sure a special occasion demands a special outfit. Outfit plays an important role in celebrating Holi. So if you are wondering how to look stylish this Holi here are few ideas for you.
I have created three different looks for you this festive season. Traditionally white colored outfits are worn on Holi, because all the colors looks vibrant and show up best on white outfit. As I love white I’m going to show how to style it up for a chic Holi avtar.
Look 1:
For the first look I took my white kurti and have paired it up with a black palazzo. Palazzo are in this season and are very comfortable and stylish. For a more feminine look I added a multi colored dupatta from my mom’s collection. It not only gives the feel of Holi due to its vivid colors but also looks amazing. I accessorized the look with traditional jhumkas, silver bangles and a silver neckpiece.
Look 2:
For the second look also I went with the black and white combination. I paired my kurti with a short black legging and dupatta. With this look I did an up-do for hairs to compliment the look.
Look 3:
This is my favorite look. For this look I paired my kurti with denim shorts. This is damn comfortable and looks gorgeous. I tied my hairs into a high pony. I went simple with accessories with white studs and a neck piece.
Apart from these you can wear sarees, jeans, tunics, shirts, patiala’s there is just no limit to testing with looks on this day. Clearly considering the occasion, avoid dresses that can be unmanageable and go for the one you will be most relaxing in.
Footwear
Wondering what footwear to wear for Holi? Say absolute no to heals & grab your slippers, rubber sandals or flip flops that are comfortable and look fabulous on you. Slippers or sneakers look stylish with any western outfit. Remember your footwear for Holi must be comfortable, safe and less slippery as you’ll be running and dancing. I’m wearing flat rubber sandals as they are comfortable and looks good with all my outfits.
Holi Make-Up
Who said you can’t apply make-up for Holi? Make-up is a true companion of any woman for special event and if you want to look gorgeous among your friends, then, make sure to use perfect make-up base or moisturizer on your face. Then apply make-up .It not only makes you look beautiful but also helps in protecting the skin from the harmful chemicals included in the Holi colors. Opt for water proof make-up and also make sure to use sunscreen on your entire visible body to prevent tanning.
Holi is the festival of colors which adds charm to our lives, so let’s look chic and fabulous this Holi. Wishing you a happy and safe Holi.
